Charles Hazzard, D.O. (1871-1938) held a Ph.D. and also earned his DO when he graduated from the ASO in 1895. Hazzard was appointed to the faculty of the ASO in 1898 as professor of Osteopathy and as Operator at the AT Still Infirmary. His writings reflect his study not only of the work of AT Still, but also the research of Brown-Sequard and Swedish massage.
